The Outremer 49 was elected “European Boat of the Year” by a panel of 11 journalists. This is a video podcasted by France 3 Montpellier, on the 29 th of January.
The Multi-Raid shipyard will be at the show with an amazing catamaran : the Bicok. This 21 foot, light, high quality day cruiser, is built using the infusion process. It comes with a harken gear, a rotating mast and Incidence sails. It can be transported and can host a removable canva shelter to sleep at night.

The South Africa yard, Dean Catamaran, will exhibit the Dean 441, during the Atlantic Multihull Show in Lorient. The Dean 441 is a strong catamaran, built in composite, seaworthy, with a lot of interior space and 6 different layouts available.

OUTREMER 49 Wins European Yacht of the yearThis month we’re very pleased to share with you that during selection at Dusseldorf Boat Show, judges have awarded the Outremer 49 European Yacht of the Year in the multihull catagory. The Outremer yard have long built their reputation on powerful, performance orientated long-distance cruising multihulls, functional in their design, but not over the top on home comforts. In producing the 49, Outremer decided on a design, which still had the hallmark breathtaking Outremer performance, but also had slightly more comfort and appeal (particularly to the ladies) for longer periods onboard. To achieve this they recruited Christoph Barreau, well known designer for Catana, and the result was the 49. Seven have been sold to date, with the next build slot we can offer available for Autumn 2010. So, as you can see, on top of our annual Spring Multihull Show at Emsworth, our Try-a-Multi day in Portsmouth, and several other events for later in the year yet to be announced, we are planning to get out and meet as many of you as possible over the next few months.
